The first week’s MobilityFirst session was very engaging. I learned about the past, present and future of the internet. It was amazing to realize the incredible lengths and endless possibilities the internet has in store for us in the near future. In a few short years, we could possibly utilize the internet to such an extent where we can download a song we like from a friend’s device by simply having our own device near it. I also learned about how the internet would look if it took on a physical form. The internet is nothing more than a huge series of interconnected networks or nodes. When illustrated, it resembles a human brain cell. I found this to be interesting because this is essentially what the internet is–a large individual brain that connects us all together. From the first session alone, I can confidently say that I am looking forward to learning more about and developing an appreciation for the computer science world.
